Anna Ballesteros received her Bachelor degree in Chemistry in 2017 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She received her Master degree in Industrial Chemistry and Introduction to Chemical Research in 2018 from the same University. In addition, she spent several months at the same University working on the enantioselectivesynthesis of organofluoride compounds and also in the synthesis of antimicrobial nanoparticles.
She was awarded with an industrial doctorate grant and in December of 2018 she started her PhD at CIC biomaGUNE. Her PhD project is co-funded by Asparia Glycomics and focuses on developing methodology for the isolation of natural oligosaccharides
