María Gómez received her Chemistry degree from the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Donostia in 2016. Then, she did the Chemistry and Polymers MSc at the same university where she worked on the desing, synthesis and characterization of physicochemical properties of new coordination complexes based on biocompatible metals and common molecular skeletons as principle ingredients. In 2017 she was awarded with a industrial doctorate grant for between the Glycotechnology Lab. at CIC biomaGUNE and Asparia Glycomics, where she is currently working on the enzymatic chemical synthesis of isotopically labeled glycans and glycopeptides to apply them as internal standards in glycoanalysis by mass spectrometry.
