Vicente Oliver Bronchal was born in Valencia in 1996. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences from the Universitat de València (UV), where he joined Prof. Jesús Salgado’s group to work on a project focused on polymeric nanoparticles with pH-sensitive properties for drug delivery in cancer therapy.
He continued his academic training with a Master’s Degree in Nanotechnology at the same university, which he completed in 2019. Under the supervision of Prof. Enrique García-España, his master’s research explored the use of chemical compounds targeting G4-DNA structures as a potential therapeutic approach for cancer.
After completing his master’s studies, Vicente moved to Seville, where he joined Dr. Manuel Ocaña’s group to work on the development of dysprosium (Dy)-based inorganic nanoparticles for MRI diagnostics.
In 2022, he joined the Glycotechnology Lab to pursue his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Niels C. Reichardt and Dr. Juan Manuel Falcón. His current research focuses on the design and development of functionalized exosomes decorated with specific glycans, aiming to explore their potential applications in the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
